As my family and I were driving home from a vacation, I couldn’t help but think about the evolution of family road trips. Not too long ago, kids and parents would all talk to each other during the long car rides. Now, they pile into the car with their cell phones, iPods, iPads in hand and the rest of the trip is spent preoccupied and not talking with the people sitting next to them. According to the official Chase’s List of Annual Events, June is…..“Anti-boredom” month. So if you’re planning to fend off the dullness of July, you might plan a family car trip. Yes, gas prices are an issue, however you DO need to get away and spend time together as a family. It doesn’t have to be an expensive trip. Day trips are fun as are longer trips. Plan it out, check for deals online, coupons and AAA, and you can save money on hotels, meals, etc.
Planning can make a huge difference and will save money as well as stress!!
