Did you know there is a place for kids and adults to learn fencing right here in the South Bay! The Salle D’Asaro Fencing Club in Torrance offers instruction for kids and adults. Fencing offers a great alternative to traditional sports. At the same location there is a full service fencing gear shop, Gladius Fencing Gear offering stater sets for beginners as well as gear for competition. We asked the Salle D’ Asaro Fencing Club to share a little information with What’s Up for Kids about their program.
1. Tell us a little about your program.
Our fencing program are for all ages. Our youngest students start at age 6 up to adults. We love the novice, and parent, who is are just simply interested in enjoy a non-traditional sport while getting in shape
2. What do kids love most about your program?
What kids love most about our program is we structure the training in such a way that they learn a variety of techniques, while having fun.
3. What is unique about your program?
Our program is unique because it is being taught by an Olympian athlete who has a passion to not only teach fencing but to also help students get into prestigious colleges on scholarships. We want our students to be given every opportunity to become well-rounded individuals.
