This past weekend I took a trip to Ft. Worth to see my eldest son. He is a sophomore at Texas Christian University and it was family weekend. It was a great to see him and “The Frogs” won the game against SMU. I have been to Ft. Worth many times and we actually lived in nearby Grapevine in the early 90’s but this time I felt like I really got to see the city.
Ft. Worth is a city that is deep seeded in tradition. We spent some time at the historical Ft Worth Stockyards built in 1908. The stockyards are home to the Cowboy Rodeo Area and Hall of Fame. Back in the day this area was well regarded as the biggest trading and processing livestock in the nation. Today the Fort Worth Stockyards Historic district is on e of Texas’’ most popular tourist destinations. Fine shopping and unique Texas style favorites are abundant.
Enjoy Ft. Worth and the surrounding areas with direct flights from LAX on American and Virgin America. The beautiful Renaissance and Omni hotels are just a few of the choices you have in lodging. Let me help you plan a visit to this remarkable city and make sure you leave some room in your luggage for your new cowboy boots!
