Fall-O-Ween celebration at Gold Rush Mining Adventures in Big Bear Lake

Gold Rush Mining AdventuresIf your heading up to the Big Bear area this month, join the Fall-O-Ween celebration! The Gold Mine Gift Emporium is “in the spirit” and has conjured up an early bewitching welcome to the coming haunting season.  They have woven a tangled web of fun!

No tricks, only treats as All Hallows Eve approaches. They will be serving up thrills without chills. No frights, only fun will be hauntingly present everyday through Oct. 31. Creep on over to the Halloween Haven. The ghost host and skeleton crew will be on hand to help you have an out of this world experience you are sure to remember.

Inspired by the haunted holiday, they’re pump(kin) it up a notch with our Jack-O-Lantern Jamboree (newly disguised mining buckets), presented by Gold Rush Mining Adventures.  The “Boo” buckets range in size and price, all of which include a variety of spooktacular holiday themed items and of course the gems and crystals, which are now called our Transylvania Treasures.  Reveal your treasure by digging in the bone yard or using the swamp water sluice.  Break open a geode with the “Kracken” and reveal the boo-tiful crystals hidden within.

Spirits are high and excited as they’ve got the fever, ghoul (gold) fever that is! Take home some of the ghost town ghoul (gold) by panning real gold right at our prospector’s sluice!

The creature from the black lagoon offers oodles of oysters waiting for their precious treasure from the sea to be harvested.

Wanda the Witch rests beside her cauldron of colorful magic stones available to fill black velvet pouches or choose a few to add to small magic cauldrons or mini-jack-o-lantern containers.

Got a sweet tooth or fang? Lots of old fashioned sweet treats are offered in the Vampire’s Vault! Edible rocks, crystals, and more to explore. For the shockingly sophisticated sweet tooth, Winifred the witch has whipped up her horrifically delicious recipes of handmade fudge.  Aside from chocolate concoctions, seasonal specialties include butter pecan and toffee, maple nut, and tricker-boo (creamcicle) will be on hand to name just a few.

Fun and frolic is awaitin’ all those who participate. Halloween costumes are highly encouraged, wear yours and receive a special treat.

It’s a wrap, so, bring your Mummy, don’t hide in the shadows, creep by for a frighteningly fun and howlingly good time.  It’s so fun it’s almost scary!
